Daniela Sangiorgi, ISSIP Ambassador to Service Design and Innovation Conference

Dr. Daniela Sangiorgi is senior lecturer in Design at ImaginationLancaster, Lancaster University (UK). She is specialised in Service Design with a focus on the role of Design for public sector reform and healthcare commissioning. She has  recently been exploring links and contributions of Design in the Service Science debate and the Service Dominant Logic framework. She was one of the founding members of Service Design Network, she is a member of the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP) and coordinating the AHRC funded Service Design Research network in UK. Daniela is the co-author of the book ‘Design for Services’ with Anna Meroni, published by Gower and is the Chair of the next Service Design and Innovation, ServDes conference to be held in Lancaster University.

 Before Joining Lancaster University Daniela was a researcher for the SDI Agency at the INDACO Department of Politecnico di Milano until April 2007. During this time, she participated in several national and European research projects, mainly dealing with the role of design in the innovation and development of the Italian industrial system.
