Yuriko Sawatani

Yuriko Sawatani, ISSIP Ambassador to  Society of Serviceology

Dr. Sawatani is a professor in the Center for Research Strategy at Waseda University since 2013. She received a B.S. in Information Science and a M.S. in System Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Technology Management from the University of Tokyo. After joining IBM, she had various positions in R&D including the assignment to Research Strategy at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center. She led the establishment of Service Research at IBM Research Tokyo. She was assigned to Japan Science and Technology Agency as a fellow since 2010, and is establishing service science research and development in Japan. She is active at Society for Serviceology (SfS), Service Science, Management, Engineering and Design (SSMED) and research & innovation management communities (PICMET, JSSPRM).
