Scott MacLeod's research - http://www.scottmacleod.com - focuses on the anthropology and sociology of information technology. He's taught "Society and Information Technology" on Harvard's virtual Island (not on Harvard University's faculty) and other virtual islands in Second Life, as well as anthropology and sociology in physical classrooms in different universities. He's currently revising 9 draft chapters of his first, actual / virtual, Harbin Hot Springs' ethnographic book, and beginning a second virtual Harbin book.
