Call for Volunteer – Service Futures Trends Editor/Co-writer

Duration: Six month, with option to extend

Consistent with ISSIP Bylaws, and Policies, the ISSIP Service Futures SIG, and ISSIP Publications Committee, are looking for an Editor/Co-writer to draft the first issue of ISSIP Service Futures Trends white paper.    All members of ISSIP are invited to participate in this process.

The candidate will work directly with Charlie Bess, HP Fellow, ISSIP BOD Member, VP, and Service Futures SIG Chair to go through more than a thousand blog posts on business and technical trends (including Big Data and Analytics, Cognitive Computing, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Internet-of-Things, Social, Mobile, Gamification,…)  and the implications on service futures from the last 6~7 years, and synthesize major future trends into a white paper that will be posted on ISSIP’s website with potential to present at future ISSIP conferences.

Beyond the white paper, there is potential to publish a related book through an ISSIP partner publisher.

This is a great opportunity for a talented university student or researchers for learning and exposure for to work along side a industry thought leader from HP with a potential to be published.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must be (or become) a member of ISSIP
  • Candidate for Masters or PhD in either engineering, business or management of technology
  • Critical Thinking
  • Passion for learning
  • Fundamental knowledge of ICT enabled services
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office

Experience with blogging platform including wordpress is a plus
