Today’s societal and business grand challenges are increasingly addressed through integrated approaches of open innovation, crowdsourcing, and multi-disciplinary collaboration that result in improving existing service ecosystems, introducing new services, or birth of whole new ecosystems. The ISSIP framework to address grand challenges includes a whole system approach to service innovation, i.e. technology innovation (social, mobile, big data, analytics, IoT, cognitive computing, etc.), business innovation (open innovation), process innovation (crowdsourcing, multi-disciplinary collaboration, etc.), and mutli-disciplinary life-long learning that enables our members to continue to grow professionally and be prepared for the work challenges and opportunities of 21st century.
