The goal of Education & Research SIG is to provide an international forum in which interdisciplinary professionals, researchers and educators in service science and innovation can discuss, develop and promote theory-, policy- and practice-related issues and opportunities, can exchange ideas, tools, techniques, processes and applications for education and research, and can have life-long learning and growth opportunities, both locally and globally. Overall we are dedicated to promoting excellence in service science and innovation education, research and practice.

Some of our current initiatives include a survey of service innovation education programs, locating data sets for education, developing an instrument to assess people’s T-shapedness, and many others.

Dr. Jim Spohrer, Director, IBM University Programs World-Wide, and Dr. Haluk Demirkan, Arizona State University co-chairs the E&R-SIG. The SIG meets weekly via conference calls.  If you are interested in joining the E&R-SIG, please contact co-chairs at chair-ersig@issip.org.
