The International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP) presents an ISSIP Workshop on Nov 6, 2013 (10:30 am – 1:30 pm)
Assess and Plan Your Professional Growth and Achievement: How T-Shaped ARE You? Assessing Your Present “T’ness” and Your Pathway for T-Shaped Growth in the 21st Century
Workshop Chair: Louis Freund, Professor of the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering and the Director of the Graduate Program in Human Factors and Ergonomics – San Jose State University
The concept of the T-shaped professional has been fundamental in the development of Service Science. The idea is simply that professionals in the field of service must not only be “deep” in a discipline, but also broad in their ability to work effectively across disciplines, cultures, systems and regions.
ISSIP’s new My-T© tool enables individuals to describe their T-shaped-ness (depth and breadth of their professional competencies) with a personal My-T© Twitter account. In this workshop participants will be introduced to this tool, learn how to set up their My-T© ISSIP Twitter account, and upload initial data using their vitas.
The workshop is conducted at No Fee for Symposium Registrants. Lunch will be provided by ISSIP. Bring a current copy of your detailed Vita and your record of your work experiences. Registration is limited and ISSIP members will receive a $100 discount on their registration to the symposium. Please use the promo code: ISSIP
