Salvatore Moccia

Dr. Salvatore Moccia, ISSIP Editor-in-Chief; Professor at UNIR Universidad Internacional de La Rioja

Dr. Salvatore Moccia is Professor of Strategic Management at the International University UNIR – La Rioja, Spain, and holds visiting positions in Armenia, Germany, Switzerland, and Thailand. He has also vast experience as manager in the higher education sector (international relations, chief of department, associate dean, associate VP alumni relations), as project manager and team leader, as director of human resource, as business consultant, as professional trainer (leadership and team building, innovation, and management), and as entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of several digital
magazines, including www.fintechnews.org, and www.sharedmobility.news. He is also the founder and general manager of “The FinTech Conference”, and the founder of the “DivinConference – Diversity and Innovation – Conference.”  He also serves as Secretary General of the foundation “A Bridge to the Holy Land”, founded and presided by HRH Monika zü Lowenstein, and as “Innovation Expert” for the Katerva’s Awards.  Finally, he has been serving in the Italian Army for almost 25 years as Officer, with international experiences with United Nations, NATO and EUROFOR.

He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain, and an MBA from St. John’s University, New York, US.

He has had articles published in the TQM Journal, The Journal of Value-Based Leadership, Journal of Higher Education for the Future, The Review of Business Journal, and other journals. He also serves on editorial review/advisory boards of several journals. He has published three books on management, and several book chapters, including one recently released by Springer Publishing.

Professor Moccia has received the Don Pitti Outstanding Service Award, several “Best Paper Awards”, and the United Nations Medal.

Professor Moccia’s primary areas of interest are good-humor and productivity, leadership and values, and strategic management (the importance of information in strategic formulation and implementation).
